In developing our capacity for spiritual love, we recognize that there are many roads to love. There is the love between friends, the love of a mother and child, the love of giving service and so on. And of course there is romantic love. How many volumes of literature have been dedicated to this subject? It can be such an intricate part of our experience on earth, yet an area that can be the most elusive.
In understanding romantic love, we must apply the same spiritual principles that we apply to any other aspect of love. Since all love comes from God, genuine love between a romantic couple is part of the spiritual love flow. Through romantic love, we learn about giving and receiving, affection and tenderness, fidelity and trust. All these attributes are part of the loving experience. And best of all, by mastering the art of romantic love, we eventually learn to open up to divine love.
Romantic love in the aura is a beautiful sight to see. It usually appears like bubbly pink champagne bubbles surrounding the auric field. There’s a whole euphoria involved with this type of love.
Many of our romantic problems are a result of selfishness. Instead of loving unconditionally and as an emissary of God’s love, we put parameters and become possessive in love. Too often, we think of what the other person is going to give us, rather than what we are going to give them. And this creates darker energies in the aura. Sometimes I see the loving energy tinged with gray or avocado green indicating this love expression has conditions and is mixed.
The biggest asset to generating a productive and healthy romantic experience is to find someone you are compatible with. You want the energies flowing to be positive and enhancing.. Many people look for sexual attraction in seeking a mate. While this can generate a passionate experience, it does not necessarily generate a loving experience. And without love, we automatically have taken out the spiritual element. The experience becomes more instinctual and is usually short-lived. Naturally, you want to be attracted to the person, but you don’t want sex to the basis of your relationship.
The aura shows very clearly if a couple is compatible with each other. There is a beautiful flow of energy especially at the Hermetic and emotional levels, which has an elevating effect for both people. When the couple is not compatible, there can be some gray energies exchanging from one aura to the other. This immediately shows that the two people involved did not base their relationships on mutual love and respect. There were some ulterior motives involved.
Romantic love is one avenue of opening your spiritual love flow, but it isn’t the only way. There is nothing necessarily wrong if you don’t have a romantic love in your life. If you desire it, romantic love is there for you. Enjoy the experience, but as always, remember it is a process like all other parts of your life. It is part of your spiritual unfoldment that leads to your eventual spiritual mastery.

Following up with this issue’s theme, we have an inspiring free workshop The Aura and Romance, Saturday, June 23 at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Santa Monica, CA. This inspiring workshop for all who wish to strengthen relationship they are in or are looking for a relationship. And for those who cannot attend in person, we are followed up with a teleconference on The Aura and Romance, Tuesday, June 26.
On the home front, our marketing director Jaqueline Marie is stepping down to pursue her singing career full-time. We thank her for the good work she has done and wish her all the success. Adriana Paredes will now be handling marketing for Spiritual Arts. She comes at an important time we will be expanding our marketing efforts in the coming months.
Our Summer session of Change Your Aura Change Your Life foundation class starts Saturday July 14, This program is offer online and in person. For those of your who are local to the San Diego area, we are offering, in cooperation with The Soul Center Foundation, a unique presentation of the Change Your Aura, Change Your Life Foundation Course. This program is taught by Barbara and Dimitri online yet offers in-person training facilitated by Trisha Kelly.
